Dodonaea viscosa subsp. angustissima (Narrow-leaf Hop Bush)

This is a key Climate Ready plant which is one of 3 plant species in our Climate Ready trial. Plant species in the trial include Eucalyptus melliodora, this Dodonaea and Acacia deanei.

Some of these Dodonaea are currently seeding so if any of our trial participants are keen to collect seed from their plants this summer please contact Kath.

Eucalyptus rossii (Scribbly Gum)

Eucalyptus rossii, commonly known as inland scribbly gum or white gum is a species of small to medium-sized tree that is endemic to New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. It has smooth bark with insect scribbles, lance-shaped adult leaves, flower buds in groups of between nine and fifteen, white flowers and hemispherical or shortened spherical fruit.

If you have stands of this Eucalyptus where the trees have accessible branches with maturing seed pods we would be keen to hear from you.

Acacia paradoxa (Kangaroo Thorn)

If you have a stand of these plants of a seeding age and would be willing to collect seed when it is ripe in December or January - please contact Kath.

Acacia verniciflua (Varnish Wattle)

This shrub or small tree species is endemic to Australia. It has an erect or spreading habit, growing to between 1 and 6 metres high. The phyllodes are often sticky and lustrous and vary in length, width and shape.

If you have stands of this acacia which currently have young, green seed pods, the YAN nursery team would be keen to hear from you.
