Members of the landcare group and the public joined in planting hundreds of trees and shrubs at two properties in July. The shelter belt rows were previously ripped, making it much easier to dig a hole for the seedlings so that many more trees could be planted in a day.
The group now has two sets of tools for tree planting, and we bought tree guards to protect the seedlings, each with a sturdy stake.
After planting all those trees, we needed a hot cuppa and a bite to eat!
